Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to bookings made with Touch Africa Tours. By making a booking or payment, the customer confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these terms.

1. Bookings

A booking is considered confirmed once Touch Africa Tours has received the required deposit or full payment and has issued confirmation of the booking. All bookings are subject to availability.

2. Payments

Prices are quoted in the currency shown on the quotation, invoice or booking page. Customers are responsible for any bank charges, foreign exchange charges or other fees imposed by their bank or payment provider.

The required deposit and final payment date will be communicated at the time of booking.

3. Cancellations by the Customer

Cancellation requests must be made in writing by email. Any refund will depend on the cancellation date, services booked and the cancellation conditions imposed by hotels, lodges, activity operators and other suppliers.

Where suppliers have already charged non-refundable amounts, those costs may be deducted from any refund due.

4. No-Shows

A customer who fails to arrive for a confirmed tour, transfer, activity, accommodation booking or other service without prior notice will be treated as a no-show.

No-shows are generally non-refundable because services, guides, vehicles, accommodation or activities may already have been reserved and paid for.

5. Late Arrival

Customers should arrive at the agreed meeting or collection point at the confirmed time. Touch Africa Tours will make reasonable efforts to assist customers who are delayed, but we cannot guarantee that an activity or service can be rescheduled.

6. Changes to a Booking

Requests to change travel dates, activities, accommodation or other booking details are subject to availability and supplier conditions. Additional charges may apply where suppliers impose amendment fees or where prices have changed.

7. Refunds

Where a refund is approved, it will normally be returned using an appropriate payment method after applicable supplier charges, payment-processing charges and other non-refundable costs have been considered.

Processing times may vary depending on the bank, card issuer or payment provider involved.

8. Cancellation or Changes by Touch Africa Tours

Touch Africa Tours may occasionally need to change an itinerary, activity, vehicle, accommodation or supplier because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where possible, we will offer a suitable alternative of similar standard or communicate other available options to the customer.

9. Force Majeure

Touch Africa Tours will not be responsible for failure or delay in providing services caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

These circumstances may include severe weather, natural disasters, floods, fires, strikes, border closures, government restrictions, civil disturbances, epidemics, pandemics, transport disruptions, road closures, wildlife-related incidents or other events that make the booked service unsafe, unavailable or impractical.

Where a force majeure event affects a booking, we will make reasonable efforts to assist with alternative arrangements. Refunds or credits will depend on amounts recoverable from the relevant suppliers.

10. Travel Documents and Requirements

Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have valid passports, visas, travel documents, permits and any other entry requirements necessary for their journey.

11. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that customers obtain appropriate travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses, emergencies, lost luggage and travel disruption.

12. Health and Safety

Customers must follow reasonable safety instructions provided by guides, drivers, activity operators, lodges and other service providers. Safari and outdoor activities may involve natural environmental risks and wildlife encounters.

13. Third-Party Suppliers

Touch Africa Tours may arrange services provided by independent hotels, lodges, activity operators, transport providers and other suppliers. These suppliers may have their own terms and conditions which may also apply to the booking.

14. Complaints

If a problem arises during a trip, customers should notify Touch Africa Tours as soon as possible so that we have an opportunity to assist and seek a reasonable solution.

15. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
